Air duct cleaning
Required before sanitizing.
Pico Rivera and nearby cities
An odor-control treatment applied after a full duct cleaning, for musty smells and pet odors.
Air duct sanitizing is a treatment fogged into the ducts after they have been cleaned, to reduce odors and bacteria on duct surfaces. It works best after cleaning, because it can't reach surfaces still covered in dust. It is an add-on, not a replacement for cleaning.
Overview
Sanitizing is the step after cleaning. Once the dust and debris are out, we apply a treatment through the duct system to help control odors on the inside surfaces.
Customers usually ask for it when there is a musty smell when the system runs, pet odors, after moving into a home, or after someone in the house has been sick.
We don't sanitize dirty ducts. If buildup is still there, the treatment can't reach the surface, so we always clean first.
Also called duct disinfecting, duct deodorizing and HVAC odor removal.

FAQ
Not always. It helps most with musty smells, pet odors or after illness. Cleaning alone is enough for many homes.
We don't recommend it. Dust blocks the treatment from reaching the duct surface, so we clean first.
If the smell comes from moisture, the moisture source has to be fixed too. We look for leaks and rust during the inspection.
